Click Fraud
If you use AdWords or AdSense you must have heard about an emerging practice in the Web world called "click fraud". But what exactly is click fraud and how you realize it?
AdSense uses a payment mechanism that gives some money to a publisher (someone who has an AdSense banner on their page) every time someone clicks on the banner-known. Click fraud is when the publisher himself click their banners to increase its revenues. There are people who consrtuisent sites for the sole purpose of fraudulently generating revenue with Google AdSense program. These users achieve an incredible number of clicks using several methods, some complex and others simple and rudimentary. The most complex method is to use "hitbots". These are automated programs that simulate clicks on links in AdSense banners (there are also some that actually click on the banners).
